The mission of the Forest Hills Public Schools Foundation is to provide funding for all areas of academic excellence in Forest Hills Public Schools. We distribute over $300,000 annually to benefit our fabulous educators and students. These funds come from our three largest fundraisers held throughout the year: the State of the District Luncheon, the Charlie Anderson Memorial Golf Tournament and our Gala in November.
Despite the pause in our world, and even the academic calendar this spring, these funds will still be needed during the coming 2020-2021 school year – and we are even anticipating an increase in requests. Therefore, it is more important than ever that we continue to fundraise and give our community the opportunity to do something important and meaningful in this strange time.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have planned the following:
The Luncheon at Watermark Country Club has been cancelled.
While we can't all join together physically at Watermark, we can still join together virtually to support our educators and students.
On May 28, we'll share a video message from Superintendent Behm regarding the current state of the district. We'll also include information on why continued funding is important and we'll invite everyone to give as if they attended the in-person event.
We are asking table hosts to help us share this information on May 28. We'll also share via Facebook and school messenger. Our hope is to reach the entire Forest Hills community on May 28.
More information to come.
